Matt Kuchar is an American golfer who is a multiple winner on the PGA Tour and has been an integral member of the US Ryder Cup team. A graduate of Georgia Tech, Kuchar turned professional back in 2000 to much fanfare. Kuchar was a top class amateur and quickly established himself in the pro ranks when winning the Honda Classic in 2002. Following that success though, Kuchar suffered a slump in form which culminated in his losing his PGA card back in 2006.
Kuchar quickly bounced back from that though and has been better than ever over the last five years. He won the Turning Stone Championship in 2009 to enter the winner's enclosure for the first time in seven years. The man from Florida picked up the biggest win of his career to date in 2012 when he won the Players Championship in Sawgrass. The unofficial fifth Major is one of the biggest tournaments on the calendar and Kuchar picked up a famous win to send his career to a new level.
Kuchar's ability at the highest level has seen him become one of the most popular figures in the game, but he will be hoping that he can record more success on the PGA Tour, as he goes in search of his maiden Major success.
