You Can't Name All The Premier League Players Participating At The 2019 Copa America

Chile are the holders.

If we as football fans weren’t privileged enough as it is this summer, what with the Women’s World Cup and the African Cup of Nations rolling around, the 46th edition of the Copa America also begins this June.

The CONMEBOL tournament is being held in Brazil this year across six venues in five cities before the grand final at the Estádio do Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro.

This year there are 12 teams competing; the 10 nations under the South American Football Confederation umbrella, plus two countries from the Asian Football Confederation, 2019 Asian Cup finalists Japan and Qatar.

Initially there will be three groups of four with the top two in each group progressing to the knock-out stages, as well as the best two from third place, for a cumulative eight sides into the quarter-finals bracket. The semi-finals will then take place on July 2 and 3.

Chile are the title holders, having won the trophy in the last two successive tournaments (the only titles in their history) while Uruguay have the record haul of 15 across the history. Out of the 10 CONMEBOL countries, only Ecuador and Venezuela have never ever won the contest.

In 2019, the Copa America, the oldest international continental football competition having been initiated in 1916, will run from June 14 to July 7.

Across 26 games, 276 players are expected to participate. However there are only 20 faces from the Premier League that could feature. As all eyes turn towards South America once again, can you name every single footballer participating in the tournament who featured in the 2018/19 Premier League season?

We’ll give you an extra clue - Bolivia, Peru, Qatar, and Ecuador don’t have any representation. The countries are listed in the order they appear in their respective Copa America groups.
