Celtic take on Rangers again this weekend in the first Old Firm derby of the season as Steven Gerrard's Rangers take on Brendan Rodgers' Celtic side. Gerrard has made a decent start to life in management, unbeaten in his three league games in charge at the club. Meanwhile, Celtic lie second in the table having already lost one game this season to league leaders Hearts.
This puts this weekend's game firmly in the balance and it really is a tricky one to call. Looking back at recent you would have to say that Celtic are the heavy favourites to win this game having not lost in the league to their city rivals since 2012, a defeat which delayed them the league title for another week.
On that day, Rangers raced into a 3-0 win before Celtic pulled two goals back late on to set up a nervous finish but the hosts held on to secure a famous win. Little did they know that six years on and they would still be without a league win against their fiercest rivals, after a few years of absolute turbulence off the pitch. The season after this win they were relegated to the Third Divison of Scottish football and had to fight their way back up through the league system, eventually reaching the Premiership in 2016 after promotion from the Championship.
Their fans have stuck with them throughout this turbulent time and now with Gerrard in charge, they are looking to make a tilt for the title. But can you remember the teams that faced off against each other the last time that Rangers beat Celtic in the league?
