From Phil 'The Power' Taylor to Gary 'The Flying Scotsman' Anderson, the sport of darts has always boasted great nicknames. Unfortunately, without training for hours on end and reaching the elite level of the sport, there has been no way to give yourself a darts name, until now.

Here at The Sportsman we have put our brains together and come up with this quiz which will give you your very own darts nickname.

The PDC World Darts Championship has begun at Alexandra Palace in London with some greats games being put on for the fans already. The fans themselves as always have been part of the entertainment with songs, beer and costumes aplenty lighting up the arena.

James Wade was sent packing by Keegan Brown who recorded one of the best wins of his career, whilst Dave Chisnell was another early casualty, getting beaten 3-0 by Vincent van der Hoort.

Michael Van Gerwen is the hot favourite to retain the crown that he won at the start of the year when he beat the second-favourite for this year's title, Gary Anderson in the final, 7-3.

Phil Taylor is competing in his last ever event and looking to cement himself as one of the greatest players of all time. If he does the unthinkable and wins in his final hoorah, that will be his 15th PDC World Championship title in a glistening career. He last won the prestigious crown in 2013, when he beat Michael Van Gerwen 7-4 in an entertaining final.
