The Sportsman is incredibly proud of our close ties to to the FA Cup. On July 20, 1871 at the offices of The Sportsman newspaper in London The FA Cup was created and the greatest knockout competition the game has ever seen, which would pit the best in the game with the humble heroes, was born.

Over a century of history and testing ties this season have seen Leicester and Chelsea as the last two standing. Thomas Tuchel's side defeated favourites Manchester City in the semi-finals, while Leicester beat Southampton with the aim of winning the first FA Cup in the club's history.
