Canadian Label Nobis Launches In UK

It's Nearly Big Coat Season Again

As autumn and winter loom, the fashion industry inevitably steps in to remind us that it is time to start thinking about warm clothes.

Founded just over a decade ago, Nobis is a Canadian label that has recently launched in the UK. For the fact-fans amongst you, the name Nobis is Latin for ‘us’, but essentially the thinking behind the company’s launch is that there is a clear market for coats that can withstand all the elements, not just extreme cold. And in that sense, Nobis put their money where their mouth is: The brand’s founder Robin Yates (who was also a co-founder at Canada Goose) is personally involved in testing all new jackets, material and details, regularly sleeping out on frozen lakes and riding skidoos across the tundra in Nobis jackets.

Admittedly, there’s not a huge amount of skidoo action in the UK, but by blending classic outerwear design with super-premium technical fabrics, Nobis have created the ultimate ‘big coat’: outdoor jackets perfectly suited for the British climate.

Sympatex and Embrace membrane fabrics ensure waterproofing, wind-proofing and breathability, while zipped underarm vents, super-strength magnetic fastenings and seam-sealed construction ensure thermo-regulating properties and enable these enormously heat-efficient jackets for all those who want to get off the sofa this winter.
