There are many great things to come out of Cornwall. Pasties, pirates, Poldark, Pears soap. Of course, it’s lucky enough to be punctuated by some of the best surfing spots the United Kingdom has to offer. And as such, B Corporation certified cold-water surf brand Finisterre (www.finisterre.com), based in Kernow county is your go-to for outdoor coastal gear. ‘The Surf Seekers’, Finisterre are now gradually releasing their 2020 autumn / winter collection of Jackets, Knitwear, Fleeces & Insulated Jackets. The main attention is drawn by an exceptional pair of shoes that arrive from a collaboration with another high-quality brand with a focus on environmental sustainability with quality.
Lyon-based aviation brand Palladium, founded in 1947, are Finisterre’s partners-in-crime for the most sturdy, durable, and fashion-conscious boots around: the PAMPA HI RECYCLED WP+. And as the name not-so-subtly hints, the waterproof footwear, for either the most novice or fervent of adventurers, are made from recycled materials.

Whether traversing the coast, going up and down the Dales, or just pounding the street as the winter weather makes its unwelcome return, the hike-suitable gear offers comfort, style, and fundamentally, agility, through extensive development that traces its origins from the French manufacturer’s designs that intended the shoe to combat the terrain and conditions of the North African desert for the French Foreign Legion. This Autumn 2020, the lace up waterproofs come in either the dominant tone of black, brown, or grey.
The reimagined silhouette is available in three tonal shades, inspired by the elements, and notably features bright neon appliques across each. A well-considered design cue reflecting Finisterre’s marine inspired history - where bright markings are commonly used for safety reasons.

Further features of the shoe include a fully waterproof membrane and a sole unit with enhanced grip – ready to combat the very worst British autumnal weather. The shoe’s upper is constructed from recycled plastic bottles, whilst the sole is composed of recycled rubber waste. A recycling symbol is also placed on each heel pull to note how the boots have been sustainably made, down to the very smallest of details, including lace tips that are biodegradable.
Sturdy yet lightweight, waterproof and agile the new PAMPA HI RECYCLED WP+ delivers a modern-day version of a timeless classic, that doesn’t cost the earth in resources or carbon footprint.
“Partnering with Palladium really was an easy decision,” said Finisterre Lead Menswear Designer, Todd on the collaboration, “Both of our brands have such synergy and the result is evident in this footwear capsule. All time classic silhouettes, rebuilt for today, the way products should be made.”

The PAMPA HI RECYCLED WP+ will be available to purchase from September 26 by visiting www.finisterre.com, RRP: £125.
