It’s a look the overlord of the X Factor kind of made his own for a while; high-waisted trousers and a top tucked in, but this season it’s fashion’s turn to reclaim it from Simon Cowell.
It’s a bit Elvis Presley in Jailhouse Rock, film star Timothee Chalamet on every red carpet and Brooklyn Beckham much of the time. It’s a great look for anyone on the slim side – it emphasises a narrow waist and gives you a great silhouette but we’d say try it whatever your shape.
Very strong with a plain tee-shirt but particularly on the money with a Cuban collar shirt. We know it’s a weird moment when you tuck in after years of hanging loose but we say try this with baggy-ish trousers and a big, wide jacket. It’s not Simon, it’s David Beckham’s mega-model son, yes?
