The Uefa Champions League is back tonight with the first of two semi-final second leg fixtures this week.
There’s still plenty to decide as Manchester City’s tussle with Real Madrid hangs in the balance, and while Inter Milan hold a 2-0 lead over rivals AC Milan, on a stage of this magnitude, that tie certainly isn’t done and dusted just yet.
We’ve taken a dive into the Betfred markets to try to find some decent value across these two encounters.
Inter Milan vs AC Milan (Agg 2-0)
When: Tuesday, 16 May
Where: San Siro
Kick-off: 8pm
TV: BT Sport 1
Betfred match odds: Inter 21/20, AC 12/5, Draw 13/5
Inter have won the last three meetings between these sides, scoring six and conceding none. The Nerazzurri are 21/20 to beat their arch-rivals over 90 minutes and just 1/25 to qualify for the final. They are 11/5 to win to nil.
AC Milan have only won three of their last ten and come into this match on the back of a 2-0 Serie A defeat to relegation battling Spezia. Inter meanwhile are on a streak of seven straight wins after beating Sassuolo 4-2 on Saturday. In that run they’ve scored 21 and conceded just three. Inter are 11/10 to score more than 2.5 match goals.
Only two of the last seven contests between these teams have seen both teams score. Betfred are offering 4/5 on both teams to not score, while the Inter win and both teams not to score is 11/5.
Edin Dzeko is Inter’s top scorer in the UCL with four goals, followed by Nicolo Barella and Romelu Lukaku with three each. Dzeko and Lukaku are both 2/1 to score anytime, while Barella can be backed to score anytime at 4/1.
For AC Milan, Olivier Giroud has netted on five occasions in the current Champions League campaign, including three match-opening goals. The French forward is 5/2 to score anytime and 6/1 to score first.
Manchester City vs Real Madrid (Agg 1-1)
When: Wednesday, 17 May
Where: Etihad Stadium
Kick-off: 8pm
TV: BT Sport 1
Betfred match odds: Man City 4/7, Real Madrid 9/2, Draw 16/5
Manchester City have won their last three at home to Real Madrid and are 4/7 to do so again on Wednesday night. The last encounter, in the 2021/22 Champions League semi-finals, finished 4-3 to the Cityzens. City are 9/2 to score over 3.5 goals this time around, while the same 4-3 scoreline can be backed at 66/1.
Both teams have scored in each of the last six contests between Man City and Real Madrid, with five of those matches seeing at least over 2.5 goals. You can back both teams to score in this one at 8/13, while over 2.5 match goals is 8/15
Erling Haaland is the Champions League’s top scorer so far this season with 12 goals to his name. The Norwegian, who notched his 52nd goal in all competitions this season at the weekend, is 4/6 to score anytime, and 2/1 to score first. He can also be backed at 2/1 to score last with Betfred.
Los Blancos’ Vinicius Júnior has netted on seven occasions in this season's Champions League, including two match-opening goals, making him third on this season’s UCL top scorers list. Vinicius is a tempting 8/1 to score first and 11/4 to score anytime.
