The Premier League 2023/24 fixtures have been released and reigning champions Manchester City will kick off their title defence away to newly-promoted Burnley on Friday 11th August.
Pep Guardiola’s men will face last season’s closest challengers Arsenal on October 7th at the Emirates, while they take on bitter rivals Manchester United a few weeks later on October 28th at Old Trafford. The second Manchester Derby is scheduled for March 2nd.
Arsenal themselves host Nottingham Forest in the early kick-off on Saturday 12th August, while United kick off their campaign at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday 14th. The Gunners will be in North London Derby action against Tottenham Hotspur on September 23rd, at the Emirates, before travelling to White Hart Lane on April 27th.
Newcastle United, hoping to kick on from an incredible 2022-23 season, begin with a late home kick-off against Aston Villa on Saturday 12th.
Liverpool meanwhile take on Chelsea in the biggest tie among the opening fixtures on a Super Sunday that also includes Brentford vs Tottenham Hotspur. The Reds will face local rivals Everton on October 21st at Anfield in the season’s first Merseyside Derby, before a rematch at Goodison Park on March 21st.
Of the promoted teams, Sheffield United collide with Crystal Palace on the Saturday, while Luton travel to Brighton and Hove Albion on the same day. The first travelling fans through the gates at Kenilworth Road next season will be fellow newcomers Burnley the following weekend.
