Horse Racing Tips Friday 20 July 2018: Gigginstown Can Claim Winner At Kilbeggan
14:28, 20 Jul 2018

Last night’s tip Chanel Stuffer ran a respectable race but failed to land the spoils in his Leopardstown Maiden. Jessie Harrington’s charge led for most of the race and looked the most likely winner at times as they come up the straight but was beaten into third in a bunched finish.

Undeterred, we move on to Kilbeggan this evening for our daily tip with a seven-race card getting off at the Midlands venue at five to six.

Rachel Blackmore has gained an advantage at the head of the jumps jockeys' rankings across the water and might be able to add to her tally at the Westmeath venue tonight.

She takes the ride on handicap debutant Due Reward for Henry De Bromhead in the Gigginstown colours in this one.

The gelded son of Westerner got off the mark in Novices’ company at the third time of asking last time and switches into handicap company for this off a seemingly fair mark.

He showed a likeable attitude to see of the more experienced Storm Rising during that last spin at Gowran Park a month ago, with the two well clear of the rest and he’ll be winning races in handicaps sooner rather than later.

Running over the same distance as last time and with the comparable underfoot conditions, he’s got plenty on his side.

Turned out for this one not far from Michael O’Leary’s home, Due Reward can give the Ryanair head honcho a local winner at odds of 13/8.
