Australia wrapped up the first test match against South Africa on Monday morning but it wasn't the result that caught the attention of the ICC.
An incident involving David Warner and Quinton De Kock is to be investigated by the governing body in an event which has overshadowed the result in Durban this weekend.
Footage has emerged on the internet of a livid David Warner, the Vice-Captain of Australia, having to be restrained by his teammates as the players walked up the stairs at tea on day four at Kinsgmead. South African player Quinton De Kock appeared to be the man under fire from Warner who was clearly upset with something that had been said
A number of teammates, including Steve Smith and Usman Khawaja, were forced to restrain an upset Warner and the ICC will now decide if any further action is to be taken.
At this stage, Australia and South Africa are blaming each other as to who started the ugly confrontation with the usual on field sledging going a step further that expected. Warner in particular is no stranger to controversy during his career with various incidents littering his CV including a fight with Joe Root in a Birmingham bar back in 2013.
It is the latest incident of an already fractured series between two of the biggest rivals in cricket which is sure to shine a light on the rest of the series. Nathan Lyon has already accepted a sanction for any incident earlier in the game where he appeared to drop the ball next to Faf Du Plessis, who was on the deck having been run out.
The second test match has just become must watch!
