The countdown to the 2019 Cheltenham Festival is well and truly on now with the four day spectacular at Prestbury Park one of the highlights of the sporting calendar.
The racing results for the Cheltenham Festival are always highly anticipated with the dates for the fixture confirmed for the 12th-15th March 2019.
Thousands of punters will descend on Gloucestershire for the Olympics of horse racing with the best equine stars from the UK and Ireland meeting at the very highest level. There will be huge prize money on offer for the connections of the races and there will be millions of pounds changing hands in the betting ring as racing fans try to make the week a profitable one.
The feature race of the four days will be the Cheltenham Gold Cup on the final day with Native River the defending champion after his famous victory for Colin Tizzard last season.
Other key races for the week are the Champion Hurdle on the Tuesday, which will hopefully see Buveur D'air aiming to join the pantheon of great horses with a third successive win in the Grade 1 contest.
Altior is the defending Queen Mother Champion Chase hero for Nicky Henderson after he beat Min in stunning circumstances last term and he is likely to be the hot favourite for a second success as long as he remains fit and well.
The week will be boosted by a huge contingent of Irish horses and fans to the meeting with top trainers like Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott looking to dominate the meeting as they have done in recent years.
