Who Are The Market Movers Ahead Of Day Two At Cheltenham Festival?

Can Edwardstone record a win?
11:42, 15 Mar 2023

Day one of the Cheltenham Festival was remarkable for the punters as the favourites came good with Constitution Hill, Honeysuckle and Gaillard Du Mesnil all took home big wins. Now Day Two is upon us and we have taken a look at some of the biggest market movers.

2.10 - Brown Advisory Novices Chase

Geri Colombe - 5/4 from 7/4

Amirite - 28/1 from 50/1

There is big back for the favourite in the second as Geri Colombe has come in from 7/4 to 5/4. If he can produce like the favourites did yesterday, Gordon Elliott’s runner will be tough to stop. Meanwhile, further back in the field, Amirte has come in from 50/1 to 28/1 - and could be a good shout for place.

2.50 - Coral Cup

Sa Fureur - 14/1 from 25/1

An Epic Song - 9/1 from 12/1

Captain Conby 15/2 from 11/1

A huge field for this one and a wide open race, with the favourite Captain Conby a big market mover. He has gone from 11/1 to 15/2 to lead the betting, but he isn’t the only popular horse. Sa Fureur is 14s from 25s and An Epic Song is in from 12s to 9s. Should be an incredible race.

3.30 - Champion Chase

Captain Guinness - 20/1 from 40/1

Energumene and Edwardstone are set to battle it out according to the bookies, but a significant backing has been given to Captain Guinness, who is now 20/1 from 40/1.

4.10 - Glenfarclas Chase

Snow Leopardess - 12/1 from 25/1

Another wide open field for this one with Delta Work leading the betting, but Snow Leopardess has received a healthy backing and has come in drastically from her previous price of 25/1.

4.50 - Grand Annual Challenge Cup Handicap Chase

Loads of movers and shakers in this one, which could give us a long-priced winner. Maskada has moved into 22s from 33s, Elixir De Nutz is into 12/1 from 16/1 and Battleoverdoyen has moved from 50/1 to 33/1. Plenty to choose from.

5.30 - Weatherbys Champion Bumper

The final race of the day is another difficult one to call with A Dream To Share and Fact To File both leading the market at 4/1. However, the movers come behind them as Encanto Bruno has moved from 16s to 12s and Loughglynn is into 20s from 33s.
