Yanworth will make his eagerly anticipated debut over fences at Exeter on Tuesday. The seven year old trained by Alan King won the Grade 1 Liverpool Hurdle on his last appearance at the Grand National meeting but has his first run over fences in the Best Mate Beginners' Chase at 4.50pm.
He's well fancied to get off to a winning start around a 2/9 chance with just the Philip Hobbs trained Sternrubin likely to put up any serious competition. Bookies have the gelding around a 12/1 chance in the ante-post betting for both the JLT and RSA at Cheltenham next March.
Aintree Bumper winner Lalor makes Hurdling Debut
Another eye-catcher at Exeter today is the Aintree bumper winner Lalor who will go off a warm favourite in the Prydis Novices' Hurdle at 2.50pm.
A winner of three of his four bumper starts last season, the Richard Woollacott trained five year old can enhance his Supreme Novices' Hurdle claims with a good debut over hurdles.
Nap Of The Day
The Robert Walford trained Umberto D'Olivate can run well at a nice price in the Download The App At 188Bet Handicap Chase at Exeter (3.20pm).
Napped up by three tipsters including Paul Kealy of the Weekender, the nine year old can go well on the ground on his seasonal reappearance.
