The Sportsman's Verdict
A very competitive renewal of this Group 1 with 13 of the 14 participants rated between 115 and 117. The verdict is for LE BRIVIDO, who has had just two starts since his impressive win in the Jersey at Royal Ascot in 2017. The son of Siyouni had to make his challenge up the middle of the track on that occasion when his closest rivals were on the stands side. He caught the eye when staying on into third over 7f on his debut for Aidan O'Brien last month and it would be no surprise to see him take a big step forward. Laurens is a likeable type who has won five times at the highest level, although all of those wins have come against her own sex and she could be vulnerable on her seasonal return. Beat The Bank showed a good attitude to win the Bet365 Mile last month and he should be good enough to make the frame, while Lord Glitters and Without Parole have each-way claims.
