The Masters is back and all eyes will be on Augusta as the top golfers from around the world meet to battle it out for the biggest prize in golf. Tiger Woods is on the hunt for his fifth Augusta crown after his return to form this year whilst reigning champion Sergio Garcia will be keen to defend the title he won last year.

Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth are among the favourites this year whilst world number one Dustin Johnson cannot be discounted. But what happens to those who come so close? Are their names simply forgotten or do they ever bounce back to win?

We have gone through the results since the turn of the century and analysed the winners and losers from Augusta. Names such as Danny Willett, Jordan Speith and Bubba Watson have won the Masters in recent years but can you remember the runners-up from the last 18 tournaments at Augusta.

Below, we have created a wonderful quiz which you can take on. This a tough one so if you can get more than 15 you can count yourself as a real golf fan! When there has been more than one runner-up in the tournament we have included all the names so rack your brains and try and remember all of the ‘almost’ men who came so close to success. A * indicates when there is more than one runner-up.
