Saturday was a historic occasion for Celtic’s James Forrest as he reached 100 goals for the club, scoring a stunning hat-trick in their 6-1 victory over Hibernian at Celtic Park.

The winger has spent the entirety of his career with the Hoops and has firmly established himself as a legend with his century of goals. It also marked the 14th consecutive season that the Scot has scored for the side in the league.

Across his decorated career at Paradise, Forrest has won 10 Scottish Premiership titles, five League Cups and five Scottish Cups.

He is the 30th Celtic player to reach 100 goals. Here is the esteemed company that he has joined.

Jimmy McGrory - 468

McGrory is the club’s all-time leading goalscorer, netting 468 times in 445 matches for the Bhoys between 1929 and 1937.

Bobby Lennox - 277 

Lennox enjoyed two stints at Celtic Park between 1961-78 and 1979-80. He was one of the legendary Lisbon Lions who won the 1967 European Cup.

Henrik Larsson - 242

The Swedish superstar is a Celtic icon, winning four league titles, two Scottish Cups and two League Cups, while also helping the Hoops reach the UEFA Cup final in 2003.

Stevie Chalmers - 231

Arguably the biggest Lisbon Lion of them all, Chalmers scored the goal against Inter Milan to secure Celtic their first major European title.

Jimmy Quinn - 217

Quinn helped Celtic claim six league titles and five Scottish Cups during a 17-year stint with the club between 1900 and 1917.

Patsy Gallacher - 192

Between 1911 and 1926, Gallacher was a prolific goalscorer for Celtic and helped them win six Scottish league titles and four Scottish Cups.

John Hughes - 188

Hughes was another remarkable player of the Lisbon Lions era. Although he didn't play in the final, he did score 188 goals in 383 appearances during his time with the club and won 11 domestic honours including six league titles.

Sandy McMahon - 177

McMahon was one of the first ever Celtic stars in history having made his debut for the club in 1891. Over 12 years, McMahon was part of four league title wins and three Scottish Cup triumphs.

Kenny Dalglish - 167 

King Kenny was a majestic footballer who spent a decade with Celtic. Dalglish was treasured because he could score goals as well as create them. He left Glasgow having won nine domestic titles.

Jimmy McMenemy - 164

After 18 years at Celtic Park between 1902 and 1920, McMenemy left well decorated, having won 11 league titles and six Scottish Cups.

Adam McLean - 148

McLean joined Celtic as a teenager in 1917 and spent 11 years as a Bhoy winning a total of six domestic titles.

Willie Wallace - 134

Another member of Jock Stein’s formidable Lisbon Lions, the striker joined from Hearts in 1966 and spent five years with the Hoops, winning 11 titles in that time.

John 'Dixie' Deans - 132

Deans had a talent for scoring in big games, and scored two hat-tricks in separate cup finals against Hibernian - the 1972 Scottish Cup final and the 1974 League Cup final.

Jimmy Johnstone - 130

Johnstone was a true Celtic great and another Lisbon Lion, helping the club win a whopping 19 titles during his time at Parkhead. There is a statue of him outside the stadium.

Tommy McInally - 126

McInally enjoyed two spells with Celtic, and in his debut for the club he introduced himself with a hat-trick in a 3-1 victory over Clydebank.

Charlie Nicholas - 125

Nicholas was one of Celtic’s most recognisable stars in the 1980s and he won three pieces of silverware in the green and white.

Jimmy McColl - 123

One of Celtic’s most talented players during the early 1900s, McColl helped Celtic secure five league titles.

John Campbell - 123

Campbell was a prolific goalscorer for Celtic across two spells in 1890 to 1895 and 1897 to 1903. He won a total of six trophies during his time with the Hoops.

Leigh Griffiths - 123

The last person to reach the feat before Forrest was former forward Griffiths. His landmark goal came against FK Suduva in a Europa League play-off first-leg fixture at Celtic Park.

Harry Hood - 123

Hood won 11 titles as a Celt during his seven-year stint at the club and during the 1970-71 campaign he was the top scorer of the Scottish top division.

Brian McClair - 122

McClair spent five years with Celtic between 1983 and 1987 before moving to Manchester United, helping the club claim a league title and a Scottish Cup.

Bobby Collins - 120

Collins made his footballing breakthrough with Celtic in 1949 and over nine years with the Hoops he won four major titles.

Frank McGarvey - 113

Joining Celtic from Liverpool in 1980, McGarvey spent five years at Celtic Park and won a total of five domestic trophies.

John Hartson - 110

It was November 2005 when Harston struck his 100th goal for Celtic in a 3-0 win over Falkirk. The Welsh striker helped the Hoops win three Scottish Premiership titles, two Scottish Cups and a League Cup.

Neilly Mochan - 107

Not only did Mochan have a great career as a player for Celtic, scoring over 100 goals, he returned as a trainer under Jock Stein and helped the Lisbon Lions roar to victory in 1967.

Joe Cassidy - 105 

Between 1912 and 1924, Cassidy was a regular source of goals for Celtic as they attained three major titles with the attacker either leading the line or deployed on the left.

John Divers - 103

Divers spent 10 years with the Bhoys between 1956 and 1966, and despite playing on the inside left he was a regular goalscorer.

Bobby Murdoch - 102 

A boyhood Celtic fan, Murdoch spent 14 years at Paradise between from 1959. Along with being an immortalised Lisbon Lion, he helped the side win eight out of their incredible nine consecutive league title successes.

Alec Thomson - 100

Across a 12-year spell with Celtic between 1922 and 1934, Thomson was one of the standout stars in green and white, making 451 appearances for the club.
