Chelsea Fans Fear ‘Inevitable’ Eden Hazard Exit After Christian Pulisic Signs

Chelsea have completed the first big signing of the winter transfer window as Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic joins the club in a deal worth £57.6m. The American international will spend the rest of the season ‘on loan’ at Dortmund and will join up with his Chelsea teammates in summer at the conclusion of the current campaign.

This incredibly exciting signing has been tinged with worry for Chelsea fans as many football fans believe the Blues have just picked up their replacement for star man Eden Hazard, a man who looks destined to join Real Madrid.

Hazard and Madrid seem to fit together perfectly with the player hinting for months that Los Blancos will be his next club. Santiago Solari’s men are still hunting for a replacement for the departed Cristiano Ronaldo with Hazard the most likely man to be Madrid’s next Galactico.

The Belgian’s Chelsea contract runs until 2020 but he seems unlikely to sign a new deal so the Blues will have to cash in on him in the summer unless they want to risk losing him on a free. One of the best players in the world on his day, Hazard shone at the World Cup and has contributed an incredible 19 goals in 19 games for Chelsea in the Premier League this season, including ten goals.

Pulisic is sure to be a great signing for Chelsea and certainly one for the future but he could block the pathway of some of the academy players such as Callum Hudson-Odoi who has broken into the first team recently. Chelsea fans seem to want everything, keep Hazard, sign top class players and develop their academy players.

Unfortunately for Chelsea fans it seems Hazard could be off in the summer.
