Antonio Conte will hand Olivier Giroud his first start for Chelsea since his Deadline Day move from neighbours Arsenal, as the French striker aims to turn around the Blues fortunes on Monday evening, as they welcome out-of-form West Bromwich Albion to Stamford Bridge in an intriguing Premier League clash.
The Blues have suffered back-to-back defeats in the top-flight, and many have been calling for Conte's sacking, but he still remains in his position at the reigning champions, and will unleash Giroud from the start, as he aims to aid the likes of Eden Hazard and Pedro in Chelsea's front line.
Andreas Christensen has passed a late fitness test to be part of Chelsea's defensive line, but there's no return for Marcos Alonso, who was absent in Chelsea's 4-1 defeat against Watford, but there is a positive note for Conte as Alvaro Morata is among the substitutes, as the Blues aim for the three points, and leapfrog Tottenham Hotspur into fourth place.
The visiting Baggies have been in dreadful form of late, and sit at the bottom of the table, and seven points adrift of safety, and with only one Premier League win in their last 24 matches it's a tough ask for Alan Pardew's side to escape the drop, but he will be hoping that Daniel Sturridge can sparkle on a return to his old club, as he aims to shine during his loan spell from Liverpool, while Jonny Evans is another notable inclusion in the Baggies starting XI, but Jay Rodriguez is only on the bench.
