'Dead Wood And Need To Be Sold ASAP' - Fuming Liverpool Fans Name The 2 Players They Want Out Of The Club

Social media was abuzz with reaction to Liverpool's goalless draw at Everton in the Premier League as the reaction on Twitter swung wildly from cries of 'don't panic' to others screaming 'the end is nigh'.

One can only imagine the scenes on Merseyside following a game that saw Jurgen Klopp blame the wind, Mo Salah take a pasting for missing guilt-edged opportunities and Klopp coming in for criticism for his selection decisions.

There were two substitutions in particular which irked Liverpool fans as Adam Lallana came on to replace Sadio Mane and James Milner also entered the fray in place of Gini Wijnaldum. Cue despair and doom mongering as the beloved Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita remained on the bench.

Two worst subs of the season has came today:
Gini off for Milner 63 mins
Mane off for Lallana 84 mins
In a game we needed to win or get a goal, we leave Keita and Shaqiri on the bench. Shocking. [@JurgenPressed]

Even the normally popular James Milner wasn't spared from criticism as Reds fans pushed a few players towards the exit door this summer...

I hope Milner and Lallana never play for the club again [@LFCFansCorner]

Milner, 33, is out of contract this summer despite playing 32 games in all competitions, scoring five goals and laying on six assists.

Milner and lallana are dead wood and need to be sold ASAP [@HarryLFC2002]

It was the introduction of Lallana which created the strongest reaction though...

Lallana coming on against Everton, while Keita, Sturridge, and Shaqiri remained on the bench, is the moment you knew Liverpool weren't winning the title. [@JDNalton]

Lallana, 30, has struggled to nail down a regular first team place this season, playing just 416 minutes in all competitions, and patience appears to be wearing thin with the England international, who has been capped 34 times by his country.

Embarrassing. Utterly embarrassing. Wasted opportunities from Salah have cost Liverpool once again. Terrible substitutions from Klopp, I have no clue what made him bring on Milner and Lallana. No matter what people say, we’re simply not good enough to win the league. FACT. [@LiverpoolFF]

Some supporters went into full blown meltdown, despite the fact that Liverpool had actually won only one of only their previous six visits to Goodison Park before Sunday's match, drawing five. Don't let that get in the way of a good old fashioned crisis though...
