Sergio Ramos has made a career out of the dark arts of football but he was on the end of that treatment tonight thanks to Eric Dier.
The Real Madrid defender has made enemies in every country he has played thanks to his rough and ready style, just ask Mo Salah and the Liverpool fans, but he might have met his match tonight against England.
The Three Lions dominated the Spanish in the first half but before any of the goals went in, we saw crunching moment as Eric Dier flattened Ramos with a stunning tackle which saw the Spanish captain left in a heap on the floor.
Dier did receive a yellow card for the tackle despite having appeared to have got the ball but it was a clear sign of the intent from this young England squad as they started the game without any fear in Sevilla.
The tackle of course went viral within minutes of it happening with football fans from around the world, outside of Madrid, clearly happy that the World Cup winner had finally got a taste of his own medicine.
Dier couldn't believe the tackle was even pulled back for a foul, let alone a card, but the ferocity of the slide-in probably warranted some sort of punishment from the man in black (and pink socks).
The England fans at the stadium were clearly delighted as they saw their man take it to one of the games biggest stars and it will be a moment that lives long in the memory.
You had this one coming Sergio...
