The big boys from League One and League Two have now entered the FA Cup as the First Round draw has taken place.
The club we are now following on our Road to Wembley, South Shields, managed by none other than Kevin Phillips, pulled off a major shock in the last round as they beat Scunthorpe United. Their reward is a home tie against League One outfit Forest Green Rovers who have found life tough in the third tier so far this season.
But the tie of the round sees Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town, the 1978 winners of this competition travel to Bracknell Town in the seventh tier of English football. That is a tie that shows exactly what the FA Cup is all about.

Elsewhere, Hereford FC, now in the sixth tier have got a plum tie as they host League One giants and 2008 winners Portsmouth at Edgar Street. Danny Cowley will be hoping to avoid the upsets that his Lincoln City side were so famous for when he was a non-league manager.
Meanwhile Alvechurch, where the draw took place on BBC Two, were made to wait but they will face Cheltenham Town away from home. Coalville Town’s reward for beating Notts County is a trip to the Valley to take on Charlton Athletic, Curzon Ashton face League One Cambridge United and Needham Market will visit Burton Albion. There's also the possibility of a Wrexham vs Chester derby, should they both come through their replays.
