Once again brave decisions have to be made. As always, The Sportsman provides you with three tips that will hopefully make those decisions become a lot easier.
Newcastle have star assets across the pitch
Halloween may have passed but Newcastle United players can offer you some tasty treats when it comes to FPL points. After cruising past Aston Villa in their last fixture, three of their key players scored double-digit hauls: Forward Callum Wilson (two goals, two assists), midfielder Miguel Almiron, (one goal, one assist) and defender Kieran Trippier (one assist and a clean sheet).
If you haven’t got any of these players already or you just have one, it might be worth doubling or tripling up on Newcastle assets as they have another favourable game coming up in Gameweek 15 as they travel to 17th-placed Southampton.
Are Leeds turning a corner?
Leeds United’s victory against Liverpool at Anfield last Saturday was a huge result for Jesse Marsch. The winless run of eight games was ended and, whisper it quietly, they performed extremely well. They looked dangerous going forward although they did spurn a handful of great opportunities.
Crycencio Summerville stepped up to win them the game late on. The winger has gotten two 90-minute runs under his belt in two of Leeds’ previous three matches, scoring in his last two. His performances have been strong and now that he is having an impact he might just become more relied upon by his manager and FPL bosses.
Priced at £4.4m, Summerville could be evolving into this season’s bargain buy and could be a good player to bring in now before a lot of people do. Also on the scoresheet against the Reds was Rodrigo. It feels like a long time ago when the Spaniard was on fire at the start of term but he might just be winding up to go on another decent little run of form again.
Trossard keeps on scoring
Brighton & Hove Albion’s Belgian star is continuing to find the back of the net and several of his goals have come against the ‘big six’. He bagged a hat-trick against Liverpool before firing past Manchester City and Chelsea in his last two appearances.
The Seagulls face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux this weekend and you get the feeling that Trossard could be set for some more happy hunting. Brighton then have another promising tie with Aston Villa at the Amex the following week.
