Gameweek 16 of Fantasy Premier League is upon us and it is the final round of fixtures before the break for the World Cup.
Managers across the world will be hoping for one more superb points tally to see them through until the season resumes on Boxing Day (26th December), with FPL fanatics welcoming a break to reassess their strategies while enjoying all the action from Qatar.
FPL have announced some key information that will be music to the ears of bosses who haven’t quite had the season they were hoping for and it comes into effect at the conclusion of this Gameweek on 13th November.

It has been confirmed that players will have the opportunity to overhaul their teams over the World Cup period, allowing users to make unlimited transfers (for free) ahead of Gameweek 17, the first round of Premier League fixtures following the World Cup.
They have also revealed that player prices will be frozen over the course of the tournament in Qatar and will only be unfrozen after the Gameweek 17 deadline which is at 11am GMT on 26th December.
There are some minor drawbacks to this gift bestowed by the FPL powers that be, however. You may not have noticed it before, but the game tracks how many transfers you make over the course of a season. And by making more swaps than kids with Panini stickers, you leave yourself vulnerable in your classic-scoring league.
If you are tied with a rival on points at the end of the season and they have made less alterations to their team across the 38 Gameweeks, they will finish ahead of you. So make sure you think carefully when making changes.
A final piece of information goes out to the managers who are still yet to use the Wildcard awarded to them at the start of the season. FPL have announced that if bosses do not use their current Wildcard during Gameweek 16, they will lose it. A tough decision awaits for those who are yet to redeem their Wildcard chips.
