Fantasy Premier League players are getting back into the swing of things after the international break and several keen players will have keeping an eye on the club managers press conferences on the hunt for injury updates.
Leicester City manager Claude Puel has given an update on Leicester’s three key players, in frontman Jamie Vardy, number ten James Maddison and centre-half Harry Maguire. These three make up a large part of many FPL sides and managers all over the globe will be sweating on their fitness.
Claude Puel: “[The international break] was a good thing; Rest for the players, their mind and body. The international players came back with a smile. The other players worked a lot in training. We have to restore all our focus onto football. This is the most important thing.”
On the players, in particular, he said: “Maddison came back in training, he can be in the squad. For [Harry] Maguire, it is too early. Jamie [Vardy] had a pain in the last game and came back today. We’ll see tomorrow."
So mixed news for Leicester City fans and FPL players but one man who should feature is England left-back Ben Chilwell. He performed admirably for his country v Croatia and Puel was keen to praise him:
"I'm proud of Chilly. He is a fantastic example of what we want from our Academy players. He shows the good work that is being done at the Club.”
Leicester take on Brighton and Hove Albion at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
