Welsh wizard Gareth Bale may want to have a quiet word with his agent after Jonathan Barnett’s recent comments hinted that a move to Juventus could be on the cards.

Bale has been at the Bernabeu since 2013 and has stepped to the fore this season after the departure of Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Of course, Ronnie joined Juventus for £100m, and despite the big move allowing him to become the star of the Real Madrid, he did enjoy playing alongside Ronaldo.

His agent explained to Tuttosport:

“Gareth is very happy at Real Madrid, but if we’re talking about the future then nothing is impossible in the transfer market.

“Ronaldo was an important loss for Real Madrid. Gareth loved playing with Cristiano, but he’s happy because he’s at a top club.

“It’s true that since CR7 arrived the foreign superstars are starting to consider Serie A and start looking at it in a different way compared to the last years.”

Bale has been consistently linked with a move away from Real Madrid since his arrival with rumours of his unhappiness seeming to surface every few months or so. New gaffer Santiago Solari seemed to have the club firing on all cylinders until a 3-0 loss to Eibar stopped Los Blancos in their tracks.

A Bale goal in midweek did give Madrid an impressive 2-0 win over Roma in the Champions League and he does now look settled as a Madrid star. Although his agent has not denied the claims of a move, we cannot see Bale following Ronaldo anytime soon.
