England’s World Cup got off to a flying start as they beat Tunisia 2-1 in added time and with the USA not qualifying, James Corden was keen to get the players together to drum up support for England in Russia.

Jamie Vardy gets together with England captain Harry Kane as well as Spurs duo Dele Alli and Eric Dier to promote England to the American public. Corden, who presents The Late Late show in USA, was famed for his starring role in hit U.K show Gavin and Stacey and is making a decent career for himself in the US.

He makes Dele Alli dress up as the Statue of Liberty and we are also treated to Jamie Vardy’s American accent, which is a thing of beauty. Meanwhile, Harry Kane is described as England’s fourth favourite Harry, behind Prince Harry, Harry Styles and Harry Potter. Jamie Vardy is the star in this comedy clip, with the Leicester forward also doing his impression of Sean Connery, straight down the lens.

Corden is far from popular in the U.K and the players reflect the thoughts of the general public with a few quick witted comments and jokes throughout the video. He takes the jokes well however and seems to enjoy interacting with the England squad.

Kyle Walker sticks to his guns and refuses to call football, soccer, whils the clip ends with Kane saying: “America, support us this summer or we will make you keep James Corden for even longer.”
