On an unforgettable, historic day in Mexican football history, EL Tri deservedly triumphed over the reigning World Cup champions, Germany, 1-0. Indeed, their victory was made all the remarkable, for it was the first time since 1985 they'd beaten the Germans.
While Hirving Lozano's wonderful winner rightfully dominated the headlines, the Mexican backline deserve tremendous credit too, for they stood tall to withstand a barrage from the ultra talented German frontline.

Chiming in with seven successful defensive actions only accentuated his value during this special victory.
Although Juan Carlos Osorio's team will now turn their attention to South Korea, this incredible contest will be remembered for many years to come and will unquestionably go down as one of Mexican football's finest moments of all time. And Moreno's part in this should never be forgotten.
