Manchester United are considering signing Yannick Carrasco according to a report in the Sun.

The article suggests that the Belgian is desperate for a move back to Europe from China, where he has played since last year having fallen out with Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid.

The 24-year-old winger has been in good form in the far east but may be looking for a way back to Europe and that means Man United have entered the frame.

Carrasco built a strong reputation during his spell in La Liga with an ability to play across all three positions in the front three a major asset to any team. Milan are also thought to be interested in a player who still has his best years ahead of him and can offer a genuine attacking threat.

The situation in the Man United squad is an interesting one at the moment with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer currently at the helm until the end of the season when the club are expected to appoint a full time manager.

What that means for their transfer business during January is up in the air but the Red Devils are continuing to be linked with big money transfers at the moment which is interesting in itself.

The United fans have spotted the speculation linking the Belgian to the club and it is fair to say that not all of them are impressed with the prospective of him arriving in the north-west...

United linked to Yannick Carrasco. Yeah....a player who sods off to China at 24 for money is exactly the sort of mindset we need at our club. Just a Belgian BTEC Di Maria0 - (@markgoldbridge)

Yannick Carrasco to United... Why? - (@KhayaMaloney)

Yannick Carrasco is only gone 25 ? If he didn't go to that pub league too young then I'd be fine with him coming in tbh !! - (@KennedyStuart90)

Manchester United are never out of the news for too long and the transfer speculation continues to gather pace for the club as they look to fight back and challenge for a place in the top four. Will Carrasco be joining them on that journey?
