Leeds United Supporters Rage After 'Embarrassing' Defeat To West Brom In Championship

Marcelo Bielsa watched his side crumble against a classy West Brom outfit

Leeds United missed the chance to return to the top of the Championship table as they were thrashed 4-1 by West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns, but it was the manner of the defeat that had Leeds' fans questioning whether Marcelo Bielsa's side are good enough to win promotion to the Premier League.

Second half goals from Hal Robson-Kanu, Matt Phillips, Harvey Barnes and Dwight Gayle saw the Baggies annihilate their West Yorkshire opponents and it was only a late goal from Pablo Hernandez that gave the away supporters a chance to cheer, but it was a miserable day for the side that remain in third place.

The emphatic win for the Baggies sees them return to the play-offs after a shaky run of results, but while West Brom performed with class the display from Leeds is sure to come into question, and many fans are not happy with the performance Bielsa's side put on this evening.

Unsurprisingly, Twitter was swamped by Leeds' fans unleashing their disgruntlement at the performance and if you take some of these comments below then it could be a tough road back for Bielsa's men.

Diabolical Leeds. For the 1st time this season I saw no fight and no passion. Lucky it was only 4 goals conceded [topleedslad]

Worst Leeds performance this season by a long long way. Abysmal Clueless No creativity No defence Just downright embarrassing today. [barrybo]

Beaten by power and pace tonight. Something we still have very little of. #lufc [shadwellian]

Awful performance today. Huge wake up is this. Outclassed at times today by a team packed full of Premier League players. Pace and power. Still we go on. Leeds Leeds Leeds #lufc [AllLoveLeeds]

Really struggled against the pace and physicality of WBA who were excellent, but we were our own worst enemies with so many dreadful mistakes #Lufc [adamski75_

U can have all the possession in the world but unless u put it in the net it's not worth a bo**ox #lufc [eod41

Men against boys all over the pitch. A few cracks starting to appear. Big week for Bielsa. #lufc [aidannelss1]
