The Sportsman is delighted to announce it will be showing the Betfred Women’s Super League clash between Warrington Wolves v St Helens on Sunday 9th July. Saints currently sit second in Group 1 with three wins from four to their name, while the Wire, who are fifth, have only won once so far this term.
The duo have already played twice this season, most recently in the Betfred Challenge Cup when St Helens ran out 36-0 winners. Matty Smith has got his team playing some wonderful rugby so far, and they appear to have the number of Lee Westwood’s team, who have found life tough since their promotion last season.

Warrington also lost at St Helens earlier in the season by 38 points to 4, while the Saints are on a flying run of form, having secured five victories in a row in all competitions. They are desperately trying to chase down the immaculate York Valkyrie in Group 1, who have gone unbeaten so far this season.
Saints will harbour hopes of wrestling back the Super League crown they last won in 2021, having failed to make the Grand Final last year when Leeds Rhinos were eventually crowned champions. If they want to get there, they must out-perform York, and winning games like this is going to be pivotal to their success this season.
The game will kick off at the Halliwell Jones Stadium at 2pm and you can catch all of the action here on The Sportsman. You can see this encounter live on the website on the day, or streamed on The Sportsman Rugby League on YouTube.
