The two remaining English clubs in the Champions League have been drawn against each other as Manchester City have been drawn against Liverpool. Liverpool are of course the only team to have beaten Man City in the Premier League this season having beaten Pep Guardiola's men 4-3 at Anfield and it will be a great clash when the teams meet on April 3rd/4th.
Elsewhere in the draw, reigning champions Real Madrid have been drawn against Italian giants Juventus in a repeat of last year's final. Barcelona have a seemingly favourable draw against Roma whilst Bayern Munich will also fancy their chances against Sevilla. The Spanish side did show their class in a win over Manchester United at Old Trafford in the previous round so Bayern must be wary of the threat that they pose.
This draw does mean that there will be an English side in the semi-finals of the Champions League this season. An English side has not won the competition since Chelsea did in 2012 and seemed to have fallen off the pace in recent years, as Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid dominate the European scene.
Jurgen Klopp will fancy his chances pitting his wits against Pep Guardiola as the two teams have played in two entertaining games this season. The first game between the two ended 5-0 to City as Sadio Mane was sent off after a high foot but Liverpool showed what they can do with 11 men as they beat City at Anfield.
The first leg will be played at Anfield on the 3rd or 4th of March and the second leg will be at the Etihad Stadium on the 10th or 11th April.
