Manchester City have broken an incredible amount of records this season in the Premier League and they have just added another one to their growing list of achievements under Pep Guardiola. Under the Spaniard they have broken the record for the most points in a Premier League season, the most goals scored in a. Premier League season and the most wins accumulated over a campaign.

The club are also looking to become the first team to break the 100-point barrier in a league season and go down as one of the best Premier League sides of all time.

Well now their goalkeeper, Ederson has broken another record. Many fans and pundits alike have noticed this season that the Brazilian goalkeeper can spark instant attacks with his giant kicks, so the boys at Guinness World Records went down to Man City’s training ground to see if there was any mathematical proof behind the theory.

As it turns out, Ederson can kick a football really, really far. The rules were simple. The balls must be kicked out of his hands behind a set white line which his foot could not cross. Oh, and the Man City number one only got three attempts at the challenge, as is standard with every Guinness World Record attempt.

75m was the current World Record, with cones being set out so Ederson could see where his target was. He struggled with his first two attempts going awry but on his third attempt he got it spot on and the ball soared towards the 75m target.

The ball landed just past the line and Ederson had done it! 75m and 35cm was the final recorded distance which means that Ederson is now an official World Record holder.
