Manchester City V Manchester United: The Sizzling 33/1 Shot That Simply Can’t Be Ignored For Sunday’s Showpiece Spectacular

The first Manchester Derby of the season explodes into action on Sunday afternoon when Man City do battle with Man Utd at the Etihad, in what promises to be a pulsating Premier League encounter.

Defending champions Man City head into the duel top-of-the-table and undefeated after an impressive 11 match unbeaten start (29 points), with only three sides - including the Man City teams of 2017/18 and 2011/12 -  ever accumulating a higher points tally (31 points) at this stage of the season.

Pep Guardiola’s juggernaut have been nothing short of scintillating in the last month, however this weekend they face a rejuvenated Man Utd outfit that are brimming with confidence and swagger after conjuring up a sensational Champions League victory over Juventus, a match which they were losing with just four minutes left on the clock.

Corking comebacks were a staple of the Sir Alex Ferguson era, but have been few and far between at Man Utd since the legendary Scot closed the curtains on his majestic managerial career.

Up until recently anyway.

In four of United’s last six matches the club have clawed their way back from losing positions to come away with a result, three of which they’ve won.

A month ago, with Jose Mourinho’s head firmly on the chopping block, United recovered from a two-goal deficit to stun Newcastle 3-2 at Old Trafford.

In their next fixture United snatched a last-gasp point at Chelsea, having been 2-1 down with seconds to go.

This month Mourinho’s men again stuttered out of the blocks, going a goal down at Bournemouth, only to grab the spoils in injury time.

Most recently, and impressively, was the mid-week Champions League trip to Juventus which saw the Red Devils slip a goal behind - courtesy of a Cristiano Ronaldo worldie - but to their credit they again simply refused to give up as an exquisite Juan Mata free-kick and an own-goal, saw them snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

The 2017/18 season was a largely forgettable one for the red-half of Manchester, however the stand-out moment for most fans was the incredible fightback away to City, where their team somehow came back from a 2-0 half-time scoreline to claim a dramatic 3-2 triumph and in turn delay City winning the title.

So, with that dazzling derby in mind, coupled with United’s recent comebacks, here at The Sportsman we have our eye on a sizzling 33/1 shot which requires United to come back from a losing position and then win Sunday’s showpiece spectacle (Bet Victor).

This outcome has occurred in 50% of United’s last six matches, but if you’re feeling fruity you can back the visitors at 66/1 (Betfred) to be losing at the break, but end the match victorious, as was the case seven months ago at the Etihad.
