Manchester United fans find themselves in a difficult position tonight as their cross-city rivals City take on their Merseyside enemies Liverpool, in a game many believe will decide the Premier League title.

Gary Neville said when the two teams were battling for the title in 2014 that: “Liverpool vs City is like choosing between two men to steal your wife.”But his former teammate and United legend Paul Scholes has a completely opposing view to that.

He answered honestly when he was asked his opinion on the game on Premier League Productions. He said: "No, it's not. I want City to win.

"I think the recent run of form you'd have to put Liverpool favourite. I know they're going to City, a great football team, but just the way Liverpool have been playing and City have been defending, Liverpool are slight favourites.

"But City have to win if they're going to get anywhere near Liverpool. In March, April time it's difficult to win games then so we'll see what Liverpool and City can produce."

Meanwhile, fellow pundit and former United player Michael Owen does not think tonight will decide where the Premier League trophy ends up in May.

"Certainly a bearing - it's going to have a huge bearing. But it's not going to be definitive.

"Liverpool have made up nine points just in the last month. So if they go ten points ahead it can be dragged back.

"But Liverpool are looking ominous they're looking absolutely fantastic. So saying that if Liverpool got a draw I'm sure Jurgen Klopp would snap your hand off and run back to Merseyside with a point."

I think most United fans are siding with Scholesy on this one and are wanting anyone but Liverpool to win the title!
