Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho reserved special praise for Romelu Lukaku after the striker continued to impress with two goals against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Belgian displayed his potent finishing ability in Russia with a towering header and a close-range finish following a defensive error from CSKA Moscow defender Vasili Berezutski. Anthony Martial and Henrikh Mkhitaryan also found the net during United's 4-1 victory.
Lukaku has now scored 10 goals in nine appearances for the Reds this season and his fine form has been highlighted by Mourinho.
The 54-year-old told BT Sport: "I have to admit that he's scoring really important goals almost every game.
"We know that he's a very good player, he can score lots of goals and playing in a team surrounded by quality players it is even easier to do that."
Lukaku spoke of his desire to improve and continue his goalscoring exploits as he targets trophies in his first season at Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old has previously won the Belgian Pro League and the FA Cup with Anderlecht and Chelsea respectively, but he will now be looking to add the Premier League title with United this campaign.
"I just work hard with the team, we're doing well at the moment and we have to keep going. I just want to win trophies, that's it. Goals, I keep for myself. I just want to win and we have to keep going like we are now.
'It's still early in the season and we have to improve but I'm really happy with the win and the form that we are in."
United's next match is against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon before the international break.
Mourinho's men will be targeting another three points as the Eagles are yet to win or even score in the league this season.
Lukaku possesses a strong record when facing Palace with four goals in eight appearances during his time at Everton.
