Arsenal’s new manager Unai Emery has got straight to work improving his current squad after being officially announced as the new boss today. RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Emil Forsberg had been lined up by the Gunners as their first summer signing and the board were just waiting for the go-ahead from their new manager before starting negotiations with the Bundesliga club and their Swedish star.

RB Leipzig are ready to sell their star man with the Swedish international wanting away from the Bundesliga club. He even tweeted back in late April ‘Thanks for everything’ hinting at a move away from the club that he has been at since 2015.

Arsenal are keen to get a deal done early in the window and put a marker down that they mean business in the Premier League next season, having fallen out of the top four the past two seasons under Arsene Wenger.

It is thought an offer of around €40 million would be enough to secure the services of the talented Swede, who has also been linked with a move to Juventus this summer. His value could rocket if he has an impressive World Cup as the star player for his nation, so Arsenal are keen to get him in before the tournament gets underway.

It is sure to be an interesting summer for Arsenal fans and they will be keeping a keen eye on the incomings and outgoings at the Emirates. Emil Forsberg could be the first one of those as Unai Emery looks to bring an exciting talent to the Premier League!
