Neymar Gets His Own Back On Rival Fans Crybaby Celebration

Neymar was something of a love-hate figure well before this year's World Cup in Russia.

The gifted Brazilian star has always had a reputation for being a little fragile let's say when put under pressure and his performances during the competition did nothing to change that perception. His diving became endlessely debated on social media and even mocked by fans in his own country. Who can forget the bar that offered shots every time that Neymar took a tumble?

Throughout the summer, he was linked with a move away from Paris Saint-Germain to Real Madrid but he stayed in the French capital though maybe Kylian Mbappe's star is shining brighter than his at present.

Today though Neymar enjoyed getting his own back on some of the fans who mocked him. Supporters of Nimes had gone to great lengths to prepare a banner which essentially accused the former Barcelona player of being a cry baby and they picked on him throughout the game.

But Neymar had his revenge - scoring for PSG in the 36th minute from a Thomas Meunier pass then celebrating in front of the banner while rubbing his eyes. It was the perfect response from the PSG star.

The French champions went on to wrap up the win with goals from Angel Di Maria, Mbappe and Edinson Cavani. PSG have enjoyed a solid start to the new season under coach Thomas Tuchel and are once again being tipped to make an impact in the Champions League this season.
