Norwich v Ipswich Team News: Canaries Unchanged While McCarthy Makes Adjustments
11:39, 18 Feb 2018

Norwich City and Ipswich Town renew their East Anglian rivalry today at Carrow Road, in a tasty Championship clash which will be screened live on Sky Sports 1 at 12pm.

Norwich boss Daniel Farke has decided to name an unchanged starting-11 to the side that recorded a creditable draw away to Derby last weekend. Harrison Reed has recovered from a sore back, while Timm Klose and Moritz Leitner both feature, while captain Ivo Pinto is amongst the substitutes.

Over on the opposition teamsheet Mick McCarthy has made three changes to the team that were held to a disappointing goalless draw to struggling Burton, bringing in Dominic Iorfa, Adam Webster and Stephen Gleeson.

Norwich and Ipswich head into the match locked on 44 points in the table, with the 12th placed Tractor Boys one place above their rivals on goal difference.

With 15 matches remaining the teams find themselves eight points adrift of the prized play-offs, but a win today could spring one of the clubs to within five points off Bristol City in 6th.

Norwich will be looking to extend their unbeaten run against Ipswich to 10 games, with their last defeat dating back to April 2009. During this undefeated nine game run the Canaries have bagged six victories, drawing the other three.

Meanwhile, Norwich haven’t experienced a defeat at home to their East Anglian rivals in 12 years.

Norwich have been installed as the 3/4 favourites to bag the spoils, while Ipswich can be backed at 9/2 to end their rotten winless run against their rivals and grab their first win in the last 10 meetings. Alternatively, a draw is priced at 27/10.
