Everton will be hoping history repeats itself when they welcome Arsenal to Goodison Park on Sunday.
Last season, Ashley Williams' late winner against Arsene Wenger's men proved to be the catalyst for a significant upturn in form, with under-fire manager Ronald Koeman in dire need of a similar turn of events this time around.
The Blues sit 16th in the league table and bottom of their Europa League group, and with Arsenal, Chelsea and a trip to Leicester to come over the next week, any failure to quickly turn things around could be fatal for the Dutchman.
Visitors Arsenal head into the game off the back of a 1-0 win over Red Star in midweek, but equally keen to get their Premier League campaign back on track. Defeat at Watford last weekend was followed by claims from Hornets striker Troy Deeney about their supposed fragile mentality.
Wounded and no doubt eager to prove Deeney wrong, Wenger's side have an ideal opportunity to secure an important three points against a hideously out-of-form Everton outfit.

Team news
After making a host of changes for Thursday's 2-1 defeat against Lyon in the Europa League, Ronald Koeman has hinted that a number of rested players, including Wayne Rooney, Leighton Baines and Idrissa Gueye, are all in line to return to the Everton side for Sunday's match.
Morgan Schneiderlin, who was substituted early into the second-half in midweek, is fit to feature, while James McCarthy may make his comeback following a run-out for the club's Under-23 side on Tuesday evening.
Long-term absentees Seamus Coleman and Yannick Bolasie remain on the sidelines.
Visitors Arsenal will be able to welcome back a host of key performers for the Goodison Park encounter. Alexis Sanchez, Aaron Ramsey and Laurent Koscielny have all been passed fit and should take their place in a close-to-full-strength lineup.
Alexandre Lacazette is expected to lead the line for the Gunners, with reported Manchester United target Mesut Ozil likely to feature despite the speculation over his future.
What they said
Ronald Koeman: “Frustration is a part in life and football if you don't win. I hate to lose. But I'm still the man and we fight for everything to turn it around.
“Of course the pressure is on the manager but okay I watch TV I sometimes am on social media, I know what's going around and that's normal.
“I don't feel I need to win the fans (over). It's about winning. I was happy with reaction of fans after game, they supported the players as they did everything to win the game and that was nice to see.
“That's football. I don't take a step back, I go forward and let's hope for three points and after Sunday everybody will be more happy than they are today."
Arsene Wenger: "It’s very difficult for me to assess the situation of our opponents. I believe Everton are a good side and it’s always very difficult at Everton. We just want to focus on ourselves and our own performance. That’s all we can do.
We are in the position as well where we want to strengthen our position in the league. After a negative result, we want to respond very quickly. Is it a good or a bad time to play Everton? I can give you the answer at the end of the game. Before the game you never know how difficult the game will be, but you prepare to give your best and you prepare in your mind to play against a team who will play well.
I don’t think that we are under any threat of being complacent. That’s one of the few positives of what happened to us on Sunday. We will be on our toes, focused and we will be ready to have a go. I don’t believe that we are under threat of that.
Expected starting lineups
Everton: Pickford; Martina, Keane, Jagielka, Baines; Gueye, Schneiderlin, Davies; Rooney, Sigurdsson, Calvert-Lewin
Arsenal: Cech; Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal; Bellerin, Ramsey, Xhaka, Kolasinac; Sanchez, Ozil, Lacazette
Prediction
You get the sense that it's now or never for Ronald Koeman as far as keeping his job goes. Lose against Arsenal and Chelsea over the next five days, and he could well be at serious risk of getting the chop.
That said, an element of fight returned to Everton's play against Lyon- and in the absence of realy quality, that is something that the Dutchman will need to harness if he is to unsettle the flakey visitors.
The feeling remains, though, that even taking into account Arsenal's notorious soft centre, Sanchez and Co should have a bit too much for Koeman's strugglers.
Prediction: Everton 0-2 Arsenal
