PSG Clear Favourites To Sign Struggling Manchester United Star

Manchester United’s form may have picked up slightly in recent weeks after a creditable draw away at Stamford Bridge was followed up by a home win v Everton. However, problems with key players at United are still hampering Mourinho’s reign.

Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw may have come back into the team in flying form but the return of the flying French winger has meant that one of United’s highest earners, Alexis Sanchez, is now struggling to break into the first team.

He scored the winner against Newcastle United earlier this month as United avoided Old Trafford embarrassment but has failed to cement his place in Mourinho’s preferred eleven. The Chilean is now 3/1 to sign for PSG in January, a club who have been long-time admirers of the former Arsenal man.

Those odds have come crashing in from 6/1 earlier in the month as Sanchez form continues to fluctuate at Manchester United. It may not be a bad idea for United to cash in on Sanchez who has failed to live up to the hype expected when he signed for the club last January.

One of the Premier League’s top talents has looked a shadow of his former self and looks void of confidence in a United shirt. A move could potentially reignite his career and a spell in France could make him one of Europe’s top wingers once again.

United could explore the possibility of using Sanchez in a swap deal scenario. Now they are incredibly unlikely to bag Neymar or Kylian Mbappe, but Edinson Cavani could be a possible option to bring in as competition for the struggling Romelu Lukaku.

As it stands, Mourinho sees Marcus Rashford as a winger, meaning that United have no direct replacements for Lukaku, who looks out of shape and out of form and was dropped to the bench in the 2-1 over Everton.
