Brazilian forward Neymar may be out of action for the time being with his latest metatarsal injury, but that has not stopped him being linked with some of the biggest clubs in world football. Now, the 27-year-old has added fuel to the fire by saying ‘nobody knows’ what will happen in the future whilst praising the Spanish giants.

Marca report that the winger said: "If I want to play for Madrid? They are one of the biggest clubs in the world. Any player linked with Real Madrid would feel attracted to play there."

He was keen to play down these links though, quickly confirming how happy he is with PSG.

"For the love of God, I am not speaking about playing for Madrid, calm down. I feel happy in Paris, I am very well here but, in the future, nobody knows.

"It is obvious that Real Madrid are a great team, one of the best in the world, I have great respect for them but, today, I see myself in Paris."

Neymar will miss PSG’s second leg against Manchester United although his teammates did not miss him too much as they handed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his one and only defeat as United manager in the first leg at Old Trafford. The Ligue 1 champions hold a 2-0 lead heading into the second leg and are clear favourites to progress in the competition that will, ultimately, decide whether their season is a success or not.

The Brazilian is expected to return in a few weeks and could feature in the next round of Champions League games, should PSG make it through.
