''Reminds Me Of The Colosseum'' Spurs Fans Go Loopy Over New Stadium Timelapse Video
Spurs fans have been simmering with anticipation about the opening of their new ground and it must now, surely, be just around the corner.
Their supports have been busy filming and splicing together footage of the sparkling new stadium and one of the very best we’ve seen has been by Youtube user Tom Woodward.
The film, uploaded to his own channel features some stunning shots of the construction process, from panoramic drone footage to fascinating time lapses and is really well put together.
Woodward said: “I haven't edited a film on my favourite (well, only!) football team before, so I figured with the imminent arrival of the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - now would be the perfect time! Hope you like it!”
The ever-excitable Spurs crowd below the line do indeed like it and chipped in with their praise.
“What a brilliant video. COYS,” said one fan.
“Chills. History in the making. COYS, Thank you for sharing,” added another.
“Anyone else started to well up when the Cockerel was lowered into position?” Questioned one follower.
“I’ve already contributed to about 10 of the views on this video COYS,” claimed a commenter.
And the cherry on top: “Great video and a great looking stadium! Reminds me of the Colosseum. Modern ground with an old ground feel with the crowd on top of you.”
Of all the hyperbole around what is admittedly a stunning development, comparing it to the Colosseum is probably pushing the boundaries of reality a touch.
We reckon they need to get the go ahead and get those gates opened for the good of the nerves of their fans.
