One week in, and the Rugby League World Cup has certainly delivered. England's huge opening-day win set the standard, while Australia found their stride quickly against Fiji. And the Kangaroos are the first of the fancied sides to get back into action in week two, with a much-changed squad heading to Coventry to face Scotland.
Here is everything you need to know ahead of Friday’s action…
Australia v Scotland - Group B
Where: Coventry Building Society Arena, Coventry.
When: 7:30pm (BST)
TV: BBC Two and BBC iPlayer
Referee: Grant Atkins (Australia)
Last meeting: Australia 54-12 Scotland (Hull, 2016)
Australia’s RLWC so far: Beat Fiji 42-8
Scotland's RLWC so far: Lost to Italy 4-28
Australia have made a host of changes from the side which beat Fiji 42-8 in Leeds on Saturday, with six players set to make their Kangaroos debut. Matt Burton, Campbell Graham and Nathan Cleary have been named as starters in the back division, while Liam Martin and Isaah Yeo are set to play in the forward pack. Lindsay Collins is on the bench, and his appearance would be his first for the national team.
Scotland are without full-back Ryan Brierley due to an elbow strain, with Alex Walker coming into the squad in his place. Davey Dixon and Jack Teanby are the other additions to the 19 from those who missed out against Italy. Defeat for Scotland would mathematically eliminate them from the tournament if Italy avoid defeat against Fiji in Newcastle on Saturday.
Sportsman stat: Australia have now won 15 consecutive World Cup group fixtures since being beaten 20-16 by England in the opening fixture of the 1995 tournament.
Betfred odds: Australia 1/750, Scotland 66/1, draw 66/1
Favourites for first tryscorer: Josh Addo-Carr (Australia) 4/1, Campbell Graham (Australia) 11/2
