Sam Allardyce Tipped To Replace David Wagner At Huddersfield Town

Sam Allardyce has emerged as the new favourite to replace under-pressure Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner.

The much-traveled former England manager is available at odds as short as 4/1 and leads the way ahead of the likes of David Moyes (9/1) and Alan Pardew (10/1).

Allardyce has been out of work since being sacked by Everton last summer. While at Goodison he helped to stabilise the club and secured top-flight status but his style of play won few fans at Goodison Park. Despite being linked with several vacancies this season including Aston Villa, Allardyce remains without a club though is frequently in the news as a regular guest on TalkSport Radio,

Pressure is mounting on Wagner after a dismal run and there have been a surge of bets on the German being the next Premier League boss to leave. Wagner has gone from 6/1 to 1/2 in the markets on the back of a poor run which has seen them rooted to the foot of the table.

The Terriers have lost nine of their last 10 games and in their last outing drew 0-0 with fellow strugglers Cardiff City. They are eight points away from safety.

Wagner recently stated that he thought he still had the support of Huddersfield chairman and owner Dean Hoyle.

Prior to last weekend's round of Premier League games, Leicester City boss Claude Puel was favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked. Now it's Wagner who is the favourite to be the next top-flight gaffer to leave.
