Tate's bid for the Christmas Number One spot could represent United's most successful attempt at winning silverware this season as he has released an absolute banger that has got football fans purring.
Played to the music of American Kelly Clarkson's greatest song (of all time?), 'Since You've Been Gone', Tate has re-written the lyrics in his song called 'Since Fergie's Been Gone'.
The lyrics serve to remind us of how far United have fallen since Sir Alex Ferguson departed Old Trafford, with a litany of uninspiring managers - David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Ryan Giggs and Jose Mourinho - contributing to the general malaise that currently surrounds the Theatre Of Dreams.
The bookmakers have been so impressed by Tate's tune that the song has been cut to 20/1 to be Christmas Number One by Bet365, moving ahead of the likes of Taylor Swift, George Michael, Robbie Williams and Adele in the latest betting market.
Ariana Grande is the even-money favourite to take the top spot at Christmas, but Tate will hope to challenge her in the next few weeks.
