The Tottenham stadium debacle has already been one of the stories of the Premier League season and there is no end to the saga in sight.
The club released a statement yesterday to confirm that all further home matches in 2018 will be played at Wembley Stadium, which means that the fans won't be inside the new White Hart Lane until 2019.
Issues with the safety of the system clearly remain and the original deadline for the stadium to be ready back in September now seems fanciful at best.
Tottenham fans are growing increasingly impatient with the lack of progress with the stadium, especially when you take in to account the lack of spending on the Spurs squad during the summer transfer window and the comments on social media have been predictably explosive...
Spurs new stadium is a massive joke, everyone was told they were going to be playing in their new ground at the start of the season, now it won't be until next year, the builders, the Club, and anyone associated with the construction are a total embarrassment, and should be ashamed. - (@warren_ramsey)
Well Spurs drove me to drink last night, still annoyed by the stadium announcement, but we have a bit of clarity through the rest of the year. - (@londonboyjohn)
I'm starting to think the new Spurs stadium doesn't exist - (@ConnorMcMullen1)
Thankfully for Spurs fans, the Premier League season has started in positive fashion but it has been a tough few days for the club with a poor result in the Champions League followed up with this latest stadium setback news.
Will it ever be ready?
Tottenham will continue to play at Wembley Stadium up to and including their game against Wolves on December 29.
