8. Newcastle United (Premier League) - 52,181

Newcastle United has always been considered a giant in English football because of their following and the stunning St James’ Park. The city centre stadium has always attracted a lot of fans but since the club was taken over by the Saudi Arabian consortium in 2021, the supporters feel that something big is unfolding before their eyes and so the ground is packed on a weekly basis.

7. Manchester City (Premier League) - 52,707

Contrary to popular belief on social media, Manchester City do have fans and very committed ones at that. The last decade has brought great success to the blue side of Manchester and they have established themselves as one of the best teams in the world and as such have been attracting a new generation of supporters along the way.

6. Liverpool (Premier League) - 52,789

Liverpool is a footballing institution and they boast one of the best stadiums in the world in Anfield, which is filled with such a rich history. The Reds have a global fan base and as such the famous old ground is filled every home game. They always talk about the iconic Anfield roar which gets under your skin, and they’re right.

5. West Ham United (Premier League) - 53,211

West Ham are one of the best-followed clubs in the UK when it comes to numbers away from home, but they also have excellent numbers at home too. While many Hammers are still devastated that they lost Upton Park for the London Stadium which just doesn’t feel like a football stadium, they still turn up in their numbers to cheer on their side.

4. Arsenal (Premier League) - 58,334

Arsenal are one of English football’s elite and their successful history has seen their following expand overseas. While the Gunners crowd have been disappointed with the lack of league titles in the last few years, they are starting to look like title challengers again under Mikel Arteta and an atmosphere never seen at the Emirates Stadium before has arrived.

3. Celtic (Scottish Premiership) - 58,960

Celtic are one of the biggest clubs in the world and like their bitter rivals Rangers, they have a loyal following. Celtic Park is always filled and the atmosphere inside can be spine-tingling at times. It is said to be a ground you have to visit for a match at least once in your lifetime.

2. Tottenham Hotspur (Premier League) - 60,593

Since their new £1 billion stadium opened its doors in 2019, Spurs fans have been filling the mega structure on a regular basis. The stadium is regarded as one of the best in the world and it is hard to disagree. The fans constantly give their support to the side but as yet the players on the field are yet to attain the success which such a ground commands.

1. Manchester United (Premier League) - 74,038

This certainly comes as a surprise to no one. Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs in the world and their fan base has been international for a very long time. Old Trafford, the Theatre of Dreams, is one of the most recognised stadiums on the planet and even with the last decade of mediocrity, the ground has still been filled with supporters who kept hoping that each year was going to be the one where United found their way back to the top. And you get the feeling that they are on their way under Erik ten Hag.
