Pep Guardiola is a very special football manager. Everyone knows it. Even the most hardcore of Man Utd supporters will begrudgingly admit that the Man City boss has worked wonders this season.
Over the weekend Guardiola became the tenth manager to win the Premier League title after Jose Mourinho's Man Utd unexpectedly wilted at home to basement club West Brom, which meant City simply can't be caught at the summit of the table.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager has since been showered in praise, and deservedly so as he stamped his name in the history books as the first Spanish gaffer to finish top of England’s top-flight.
In the process he propelled his trophy accumulation to an eye-popping 24, adding the English title to those he lifted in Spain and Germany.
There’s no doubt about it, Man City have dazzled and danced their way to the most coveted crown on these shores. The Citizens have played scintillating football conducted by the genius of Guardiola who has smashed a series of records along the way.
In a newly released video from Man City’s twitter account, Guardiola describes his footballing philosophy in mesmeric fashion. Over the course of 2 minutes and 10 seconds you’ll be gripped by his every word, supplemented by an array of training and in-game clips from the season to date.
It’s a must watch for not only City supporters but any football fan.
We'll leave you with this line:
“Play simple. Do the simple things. The rest...is because we are good."
